Chairman's Corner 

Hello, Eagle family, and welcome to a new school year!  It’s GAME TIME!

Let’s start with an explanation of who/what we are.  The School Improvement Council, better known as the SIC, is a group of parents, teachers, students, administrators, and community members who work together to support school improvement. We review school data, identify needs, provide input on the School Improvement Plan, connect the school with helpful resources and community partnerships, and monitor progress toward our goals. Simply put, we help make sure the voices of our families, students, and community are included in conversations about improving MMA.

Based on the school’s Community Report, some of the areas the SIC may be able to help address this year include:

• Parent Voice and Follow-Through

• Student Attendance

• Academic and Test-Readiness Support

• Career and Internship Opportunities

• School Climate

We do not want to have these conversations without you, so please join us at an upcoming SIC meeting to share your ideas and help us decide where our efforts can make the greatest difference.  We meet on the third Thursday of every month in room 116 at 6pm.  Interpreters will be available, and a Zoom link will be sent out for anyone who cannot attend in person. 

Your voice matters, and we would love to have you at the table!
